Sebastian Dirr ,1964年出生于德国Erlangen，大学学习音乐科学，1988-1990年间在Roderich Paesold 工作室当学徒制作琴弓，随后在那里工作了7年多。

1993年，他顺利通过制弓大师级考试。

1997年开始在Richard Grünke 工作室工作，主要制作新的琴弓，也会从事一些维修工作。

2001年开始，在Erlangen 成立自己的工作室
