Poirson trained in Paris with Nicolas Maire, then worked for Vuillaume. After Vuillaume\'s death in 1975 he joined the Gand & Bernadel firm, then established himself independently in 1879. He used a Voirin-iired model. Although his production varies in quality, some good bows exist, particularly from his early career.
Louis Joseph Thomain probably learnt with François Bazin and his uncle, Nicolas, before going to work for F.N. Voirin in Paris in 1871. He remained in the workshop after Voirin\'s death in 1885, finally setting up on his own in 1891. His bows, which are of a coistently high standard, follow Voirin\'s style. They are stamped \'L. Thomain à Paris\'.
Trained in Mirecourt, then employed by the Thibouville Lamy firm. After WWI moved to Paris where he worked independently. His bows tend to follow the style of Emile Ouchard and are of good quality.
