Length of back: 14ins, 355mm
This violin seems to show the hand of the young Joseph Filius
Previously sold through Messrs Sotheby's & co. in June 1982 as lot 194. Illustrated on pgs. 318 and 319 of Four Centuries of Violin Making.. Sold with a copy of a certificate by W. E. Hill & Sons, London 1962.
