Good maker, but seldom seen.  Born 1885. Worked in Rotterdam, 1904-1925. Pupil of Tomasowsky, Van der Meer, and Möckel. Gold medallist at Rotterdam and Milan Exhibitions for two quartets of instruments. Violins and ’cellos noted for truly excellent tonal qualities, quite removed from newness. Modelling and workmanship gracefully artistic. Golden yellow varnish.
