I was born on February 17, 1948 , in Zakopane. In 1962, I started learning the Lute Instruments Technical School in Nowy Targ . The school was completed in 1967 with the title of engineering construction string instruments .
In 1968 he began his studies at the Faculty of Wood Technology Agricultural University of Poznan. I graduated in 1973 with the title of Master of Science in Wood Technology . I wrote my master's thesis under the supervision of prof. Assoc. Helena Harajdy . It was devoted to issues of acoustic resonance properties of wood .
From 1973 to 1978 I worked at the Museum of Musical Instruments in Poznań as the conservator of string instruments where I worked with prof. Wlodzimierz Kaminski , an outstanding Polish musicologist and theorist of art of violin making . At the same time in the same year I started working at the State Secondary Music School . M. Karłowicz in Poznan as a teacher of violin making .
In 1978 he started working at the Academy of Music in Warsaw. Paderewski in Poznan , where I work today as a professor , teaching violin making art and acting as Head of the Chair of Lute .
Since 1974 I am a member of the Polish Violin Makers . I have been involved in a number of violin making competitions in Poland and abroad. I was a juror on violin making competitions nationwide and a juror at the X International Competition Luthiers them . H. Wieniawski in Poznan in 1996
I built about 300 instruments including violins, violas and cellos . I built a historical instruments such as the hurdy- da braccio , baroque violin and lute, and have done a lot of maintenance string instruments .
For his work, educational , artistic and organizational received many awards , including : the Order of Merit for the city of Poznan, Bronze Cross of Merit ( 1983 ) , Order of Merit to Culture ( 1983 ), Silver Cross of Merit ( 1995 ) , and second prize of the Minister of Culture and Art.
