Dalibor Bzirsky studied not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Italy and Switzerland. Since 1996 he has been working in Prague where he cooperates with the most outstanding orchestras, chamber ensembles and soloists. Musicians from many European countries use his instruments. In our country, for example, the soloist Gabriela Demeterova, concert masters or representatives of concert masters of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the Czech Radio Symphonic Orchestra, the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra in Zlin, the players of the Prague Chamber Orchestra, etc. Dalibor Bzirsky also performs restorations work for rare instruments. He regularly flies to Switzerland and Rome where he restores for the Claude Lebet’s studio instruments from his collection, for example A. Stradivari – Milanollo 1728, A. Amati – Charles IX. 1567, or instruments of such clients, as Vadim Repin (G. Guarneri del Gesù – Von Sherdahely 1736), Julian Rachlin (G. Guarneri del Gesù – Ex Carrodus 1741), and many other musicians from all over the world. He also participated largely in a job order for the orchestra of the National Opera and Ballet Tbilisi in Georgia that had ordered the construction of the complete string section of the orchestra, i.e. 46 instruments. However, he also devotes himself to young and beginning musicians. A well–sounding and adjusted instrument can influence their relations to music decisively.
Dalibor Bzirsky is an honorary member of the Circle of Artists in Violin–Making in Prague and the Chairman of “Věnceslav Metelka” Society, o.s. organizing the international violin–making competitions in the Czech Republic. He is a holder of several awards from international competitions.
