FERRARI, Giuseppe Born 1900, died 1970 Ferrara Italy. Trained musician. Inspired by E. Sofritti, pupil of A. Gotti in violin making. Active in Rome from c.1949. Instruments in the Neapolitan style, along with other classical models. Fine golden red soft spirit varnish. Exhibited in Milan 1953, and showed a violin, viola, and cello at the first Cremona Biennale in 1965. Manuscript label: Ferrari Giuseppe da Ferrara fece in Roma 1951
