Michel Eggimann was born in Neuchatel, Switzerland in 1963. In 1982, he made his first violin in the workshop of Philippe Girardin in Neuchatel. As well as his violin studies, he obtained his luthier’s diploma from the international Violin Makers’ school in Cremona in 1986 under the guidance of Maestro Vincenzo Bissolotti.
