ROBINSON, James William(b.1948) Dip.IPIALL (1973),  Worked at Ealing Strings (London), Paul Schuback Violins (Portland), Jacques Francais Violins (NY), Kanda & Co (Tokyo), Johnson String Instruments (Boston) and Animato Violins (Brisbane). Awards at International Violin Making Competition, Newark (1st place for vc in 1978, 1st place for va in 1978, 2nd place for vn in 1975). Instruments made in Cremona (1971-1973), London (1974-1978), Portland (1977 - 1979), New York (1979-1981), Tokyo (1981-1983), Singapore (1983-1986), Honolulu (1986-1991), Sydney (1991-1994), Cairns (1995-2000), Boston (2000) and Brisbane (2000-2004). Moved to Singapore in 2004, then returned to Adelaide in 2006.
