Born in Lowell, MA. Studied under Charles Gage and under his father Charles. Worked also as a repairman in Boston for Elias Howe and later for Oliver Ditson. He entered into a partnership with his uncle Edmund and later established own shop. His trademark was \'Cremona Art\'. Itruments made by his workers included \'under the direction of O.H. Bryant\'.
Fine Italian maker whose work gradually became more French influenced over time. He used a smaller model than is typical of his French contemporaries, and sometimes the archings are a little high. His deeply cut scrolls are very characteristic.
