成立于芝加哥的公司，堪称美国以前最大的小提琴商店之一，由William Lewis (1835-1902) 和父母Newell 和 Gi共同创立于1874年，最初的名字叫 Lewis, Newell & Gi，后来更名为Chicago Music Company。当Frederick Lewis 加入公司时又更名为William Lewis & Son ，琴弓贴标 \"Wm. Lewis & Son\"。

曾雇佣了许多顶级制琴师，专门研究稀有乐器和专门维修古乐器。包括董事长：Mr. R. Olson ，主管：Mr. Carl Becker等。目前美国许多著名的乐器都经这家公司流传出来，都享有很到的声誉。
