Details: KLOTZ, MATTHIAS (1) (1656-1743),父亲是裁缝，10岁的时候开始在Absam 的Stainer工作室里学习，得到大师许多指点，15岁的时候意识到他的工艺仍然没有什么出彩的地方，后来跟随一些商人到了Cremona，拜师 Nicolo Amati，很快他就名声大振，但是由于他的名声大起受到当时其他助手的嫉妒，后来MATTHIAS 忍受不了他们的冷嘲热讽，被迫离开，生活所迫，他不得不在一家旅店当服务员。几经波折终于于1683年回到Mittenwald，带着使当地的小镇成为“Cremona in Tyrol”的决心回来，但由于当地实在太贫困，不得不搬到Botzen。他在一个古老的市场里租了门面，指导当地生活困难的居民制作普通便宜的小提琴，都被销售到Tyrol各教堂，修道院等。他的工作室逐渐壮大起来，成为Saxony有力的竞争对手，建立起一定的Tyrolese 名望后，MATTHIAS 于1702年到Padua 。
